This is the 2nd piece in PJ's mountain lion trilogy.
It is still early morning, damp and cold. The cougar hasn't eaten for almost two days.
The cougar has zeroed in on his prey. You can see it in his eyes. Every muscle in his body is tense with anticipation of the chase to come.
This piece freezes in time the split second pause before he leaps into action.
